AUDITION
Name: Taylor Role that I am auditioning for: Jake Para sample: Lucy walked out into the dark night and plopped down on the curb. She couldn’t believe what had just happened. In the span of an hour she had lost her best friend and her soon-to-be boyfriend. She buried her tear-stained face into her knees. The music from inside the dance was still blaring. After a few minutes of picturing what her life would be like, had she not come tonight, Lucy heard footsteps. “What are you doing out here?” Lucy looked up to see the face of Ian Johnson, the strange trumpet player with the bright blue eyes. “I’m just…just waiting for my ride,” She said, trying to wipe off any smeared mascara on her wet cheeks. Ian sank down beside her and responded, “Listen, I drove here in my mom’s car and she’s not expecting me to be back for another hour. How about we get a smoothie or something…you know if you like smoothies and all..” Lucy slightly smiled and looked up at him, “Yeah. I need to get out of my head for a while.” He jumped up and reached his hand out to help her up. She politely took his hand and walked with him to his mom’s station wagon. Her troubles weren’t going anywhere, and she knew that. Lucy was just glad that they were on hold, and that maybe she would gain a new friend to help her through the mess that she called life.
